Some Norwalk athletes distributed food and clothing Sunday morning in Bridgeport.

Baseball players from Norwalk High School gave away 150 bagged lunches on John Street along with other items.

Coach Ryan Mitchell said he stresses to his players the importance of helping others.

"It is a tremendous feeling to give back to the community to those less fortunate than us," he said.

The baseball players teamed up with the nonprofit Helping Hands Outreach for the distribution.
