Bridgeport police are investigating after finding what appears to be a grenade on Tesiny Avenue in Bridgeport.
Police said there was no threat to the public.
Officials said they received a call about a suspicious object at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Connecticut State Police, Bridgeport police and firefighters responded to the scene.
State police removed the object which appears to be a grenade.
No additional information is available.
