Three men are facing charges Monday for an assault and robbery that was caught on surveillance video, Stamford police say.
Jamique Gracie, Theron Brown and Rudi Gonzalez were arrested last week after allegedly trying to use the victim's credit card.
Police say the incident happened around 5 a.m. on Aug. 24. They say a 23-year-old West Side man was jogging to work when the three men jumped him.
The surveillance video appears to show the men exiting a car at Stillwater Avenue and Smith Street, punching and kicking the man and then taking his wallet.
Police say the victim had cuts on his face, eye and mouth, but that he is OK.
Officials say it is important in cases like this to be aware of one's surroundings and to call police right away.
