State police have identified the man who was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer on I-95 yesterday.
Troopers say Timothy John Sheridan, 49, of Stamford, was walking along the northbound side of the highway when he was hit between exits 9 and 10.
Authorities are still investigating why Sheridan was on the highway.
They say they are investigating the accident as an untimely death and are awaiting autopsy results.
