A West Haven woman is facing charges after police say she left her 3-year-old child unattended and the child wandered into the street.
Orange police arrested 30-year-old Regina Yankee-Siegel. They say she and her child were visiting a house on Spring Street.
Officials say someone saw the child walking near New Haven Avenue in pajamas on Friday and called police.
Officers say they later found Yankee-Siegel asleep and unaware that her child had left the home.
Yankee-Siegel is charged with risk of injury to a minor and interfering with an officer, according to officials.
