Police say a 16-year-old was sent to the hospital after a drive-by shooting in Stratford.
It happened at the basketball courts on Woodend Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials say the 16-year-old was part of a group playing basketball when someone inside of a vehicle opened fire, striking the teenager once in the chest.
Friends and family of the victim took him to the hospital where he is being treated. He is in good condition, according to police.
"It's not something that happens high volume, it's not a high volume crime,"says Stratford police Capt. Frank Eannoti. "So right now, we're going to try to work through it, gather whatever evidence we can, and put the case together."
Authorities say the suspects fled in a silver car with a distinctive black front bumper. They say it was possibly a Honda.
Police do not know if there this was a targeted shooting or if it was random.
Authorities will continue to look through surveillance video and speak to witnesses.
