Bridgeport police say two undercover officers were targeted in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 12:45 a.m. near Kossuth Street and Crescent Avenue.
Police say several shell casings were recovered at the scene and that none of the bullets wound up hitting the officers' squad cars. The officers were unharmed.
Police say it's unclear how many people were involved, although they do have a person of interest in custody. They say he was in the car that took off following the shooting and was found a short time later. He's currently facing motor vehicle charges unrelated to the shooting.
Authorities are looking into surveillance video from a nearby business.
