New Canaan police are searching for the suspects who broke into a home over the weekend.

Police say two or three people broke into a home on Ponus Ridge Road on Saturday night.

The suspects tied the homeowner up with rope and continued to search the home for jewelry, investigators say. The suspects fled the scene when police arrived. The homeowner, who was not hurt, believes one of the suspects had a gun.

New Caanan police say they're investigating if this invasion was related to other burglaries in the area this year.
