Parents in Wilton are on alert as police investigate the possible attempted abduction of a 14-year-old girl.
The teen told police that a man in a car was slowly following her as she walked home Wednesday on Ground Pine Road. The girl reportedly told authorities the man asked her to get into his car.
The area just off Linden Tree Road is one of the town's busiest bus stops, and it's also a neighborhood filled with children. "I'm very relaxed playing with my children outside, and just to know that there's somebody lurking just on the other side of the woods absolutely terrifies me," resident Laurie Propeirio said.
Police say the suspect was driving a tan-colored car in bad condition with missing hubcaps and a loud muffler. Anyone with information is asked to call Wilton police at 203-834-6260.
