Calls made to 911 from a Bowne Street development have yielded no response from emergency personnel because callers were told their addresses don't exist, according to homeowners who live there.
Adding to the confusion, residents of the development say that while their addresses do not register with 911 operators, they do show up when calls are made directly to the nearby 45th Precinct.
News 12 The Bronx contacted the 45th Precinct to determine what the cause of the discrepancy is. Police officials say the precinct is working directly with the emergency dispatcher to fix the problem.
