Long lines of cars, heavy bags and emotional parents marked freshman move-in day at Sacred Heart University Sunday.
As the cars lined up, the bags came out and were moved into the freshman dorms through clogged staircases and hallways.
The new students tried to combine the comforts of home with new accessories to outfit their rooms.
Parents battled their nerves and students got the first taste of what it will be like living away from home and with roommates. ?I'm a little nervous about her going on her own, but that's what today's all about,? one parent said.
There are 965 freshmen at Sacred Heart this year. They come from 32 states and 13 countries.
