Sacred Heart University officials say extra security precautions have been taken after a student was allegedly assaulted Saturday night.
SHU public safety officers teamed up with Bridgeport police to bulk up their presence Monday. A female student walking from a side parking lot at an off-campus apartment building allegedly fought off a man who grabbed her and tried to shove her into his car, police say.
Earlier this month, another student was allegedly robbed walking home from class. Security officials say students shouldn't be scared, but should take precautions and remain alert.
