State Rep. Larry Miller, a longtime representative from southwestern Connecticut, has died. He was 78 years old.
He passed away Saturday night following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Miller, a Republican from the 122nd House district, served Shelton, Stratford and Trumbull since he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1991.
Several lawmakers offered their condolences to Miller's family.
House Minority Leader Larry Cafero says Miller was "a consummate public servant and gentleman who served his community with dignity and strength."
