Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says rain will be heavy at times overnight, and there will be strong winds picking up. The rain in Litchfield County will change over to a heavy wet snow late tonight into Tuesday morning.

NOW AND NEW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says rain will be heavy at times overnight, and there will be strong winds picking up. The rain in Litchfield County will change over to a heavy wet snow late tonight into Tuesday morning. On Tuesday, there will be heavy wet snow in Litchfield County with a mix of snow and rain to the south. It will be windy as well, especially later in the day and into Tuesday night. Snow accumulations will be highest in Litchfield County and the higher terrain, with lesser accumulation further south. Power outages are also likely across the region Tuesday into Wednesday.
NEXT: It will stay windy on Wednesday along with partly sunny skies. Thursday looks sunny and milder, with Friday and Saturday looking mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers.
TONIGHT: Cloudy with rain, heavy at times. In Litchfield County, it will mix with and then change over to snow. Becoming windy. Low of 34.
TUESDAY: Cloudy and windy with heavy snow in Litchfield County, a mix of rain and snow further south. High of 36.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny and windy. High of 42.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and milder. High of 50.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers. High of 52.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few early showers. High of 54.
