Snow showers in spots on Thursday evening will quickly taper by 10 p.m. but watch out for slick spots, as well as any melted snow that will refreeze. Lows dip back down to about 20 degrees with the fierce wind returning. Feels-like temperatures will be back in the single digits. Heavy winter gear is still needed, as has been the case for most of the week.
The full sunshine will be ineffective as highs barely reach the mid30s but feel like the teens to about 20 degrees with the fierce wind. Gusts could exceed 40 mph. The wind remains Friday night with feels-like temperatures dipping down to the single digits for one more night. Saturday morning will be the coldest all weekend.
A big warmup begins Saturday, as highs surge to near 40 degrees with a lighter wind. Highs get into the mid-40s by Sunday afternoon. The warmup continues into next week as a trio of 50-degree days are possible next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Rain-free weather is also expected through at least Tuesday. The next potentially large storm does not arrive until at least the end of next week. Will March enter like a lion or a lamb?
