The state Senate has passed a smoking and vaping ban at state park beaches.
The bill passed the Senate Wednesday night and now heads to the state House.
According to the bill, the first violation would be a warning, the second would be a fine which the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection would set.
The ban would go into effect July 1, if the House and governor agree.
