The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed one man has died following an overnight fire at a two-story home in Colts Neck.

The fire began around 2:30 a.m. at the home at 42 Raven Road, and burned for several hours before crews put it out before sunrise.

Search crews just after 10 a.m. removed the body from the corner of the home. According to prosecutors, there are no other major injuries as a result of the fire.

Both the Monmouth County and State Fire Marshals' units were on the scene most of the day. The volunteer fire crews from Colts Neck left after the body was discovered and removed.
