Pallone announces Clean Future Act to combat climate change

New Jersey Rep. Frank Pallone announced the Clean Future Act on Friday as part of his effort to help combat climate change.
The Democratic congressman says that the goal is to achieve a 100% clean energy economy over the next 30 years. The act calls for zero greenhouse gas emissions and sets up a green bank to fund renewable energy projects.
Pallone says that the bill is a response to climate change.
“It’s clear that we are in a state of emergency at this point with regards to climate change and we need to take some action in the House of Representatives in the Congress in Washington,” he says.
The bill also establishes a national climate bank, which will help fund the transition to a clean economy.
