People in Fairfield helped raise awareness and money for children affected by cancer
Stratfield Elementary School hosted its annual St. Baldrick's Day event last night.
Several boys and girls had their heads shaved to show solidarity with children who lose their hair during cancer treatments.
The event also honored two boys in the community who lost their lives to cancer.
Organizers say the school raised nearly $300,000 in the past six years.
