  • The record-breaking warm temperatures will go away for now, but they will try to return next week.
  • Abnormally dry conditions will persist and some areas see moderate drought.
Both clocks and temperatures will fall back this weekend. November started off with record-high temperatures, but they won't stick around for the weekend. Temperatures will drop just as quickly. The clocks fall back one hour Sunday night at 2 a.m. Temperatures at this time will be fall-like with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
No worries if the cold crisp air isn't your thing, just wait a few days. The first week of November tries to warm back up again. By Election Day, 70s will spread northward again. Still dry through most of the 10-day forecast. Watching next weekend for possible rain.
After some very light, almost unmeasureable rain Friday morning things dried out again. The dry stretch has officially come to an end for Bridgeport -Sikorsky Airport climate site. A trace and then 0.01 inch of rainfall was observed Friday morning. That puts the streak ending at 24 days. Still enough to tie for the third driest stretch.
