Temperatures are expected to warm up over the next few days, as the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaches.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says temperatures will soar for Thursday and Friday. He says Friday may reach the low-90s, but will feel hotter.
WHAT’S NEXT: Heat and humidity will begin to build, starting Wednesday. Thursday and Friday, we really crank up the atmospheric thermostat.
TONIGHT: Temperatures drop into the low-60s. Comfortable conditions remain. Skies will be partly cloudy.
WEDNESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures warm into the mid-80s. Mainly clear skies overnight, with temperatures dipping to the low-60s.
THURSDAY: Cloudy skies possibly in the morning, followed by increased sunshine. Daytime temperatures in the low-80s, with overnight temperatures in the high-60s.
FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND: The details will be changing daily. Unfortunately, there will be a system slowly moving through. Timing is everything right now. Leaning on a Saturday night/Sunday rain event. But will it be a washout? Don't know for sure yet. Saturday is probably overcast but dry until 7 p.m. Saturday night through Sunday morning -- rain, then gradual clearing through Sunday afternoon.
