An executive with the electric car maker Tesla says the company is determined to establish a larger presence in Connecticut, even if state lawmakers don't approve new legislation.

The company is considering adding as many as 10 galleries in the state, including ones in Norwalk, Westport, Fairfield, Danbury and Bridgeport.
Tesla currently has a storefront gallery in Greenwich.
