Stamford police say they're looking for the suspects who broke into Fairfield Pizza and stole thousands of dollars Monday morning.
They believe at least two people were involved with the break-in on Atlantic Street.
Authorities say the suspects cut the phone line outside the building so the alarm wouldn't go off. They also stole the hard drive storing recordings from the store's security cameras.
Once inside, they stole the safe, register and $5,000 cash.
The safe, which was heavy and had been bolted to the floor, would have taken proper tools and a good amount of time to remove, according to police.
The suspects also punctured a gas line. Police say they believe this was done intentionally and could've easily caused an explosion.
