The University of Connecticut Huskies memorialized one of their own at this year's homecoming game.
Family and friends of Jasper Howard unveiled a seven-foot-tall granite No. 6 under the scorecard at the team's stadium in honor of him.
The number is what Howard wore on his jersey when he played for UConn's football team.
Howard died in October 2009 after he was stabbed outside a dance on campus.
