A group dedicated to ending gun violence was joined by state and local officials in Norwalk Sunday to honor the lives lost in the Sandy Hook school shooting.
The group Moms Demand Action held a vigil at Oyster Shell Park on North Water Street, at the site of one of the 26 playgrounds dedicated to the victims.
Participants wore the color orange for gun violence prevention and carried bells on orange ribbons as they walked around the park.
Organizers say they are calling for leaders to take action.
Monday marks the three-year anniversary of the 2012 tragedy that killed 20 children and six educators.
