The water has receded in Bridgeport after torrential rain caused major flooding in parts of the city.
Drivers were encouraged to use caution when driving through the high waters.
News 12 has not received reports of any injuries or accidents as a result of the flooding.
The water did give commuters and business owners some trouble.
Fakhrul Khan, manager of Dollar Plus on State Street, says the waters gushed into the store within 10 minutes and caused about $200 in damage to merchandise.
