Here’s what you need to know:
- The sun fades behind the clouds this morning with very cold conditions. Temperatures are in the low to mid 20s. Wind chills are in the teens.
- Today will be the last very cold and noticeably breezy day this week with increasing clouds. Highs are in the low to mid-30s. Wind chills in the teens and mid-20s with gusts up to 15-20mph.
- A few flurries arrive after 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Watch for isolated slick spots on the cold ground. Temperatures rebound Friday into the weekend with highs in the low to mid-40s.
- A weak storm system will bring light rain Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be cloudy and cold with a chance of a light snow during the evening. The latest track has this storm shifting south bringing little to no accumulations. The track could still lean more north and bring at least 1 to 2 inches of snow across the city. - The coldest air so far this season arrives by the middle of next week. The extremely cold weather is looking more likely with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens. Wind chills will range from the single digits to below zero.
