The Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department is actively investigating an incident involving markings found on the walkway to a home in the Village.

A Jewish homeowner reported a possible swastika in front of their home Thursday night, according to officials.

According to police, they responded promptly after the incident was reported, and detectives are conducting a thorough investigation.

That investigation includes reviewing available surveillance footage and canvassing the area for witnesses.

No arrests have been made, and the motivation behind this incident has not been determined.

Mayor Tom Drake said “there is no place for antisemitism, hate or intimidation here. We stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors and with every resident who deserves to feel safe and respected in their own home.”

Anyone with information on this is encouraged to contact the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department at 914-478-2344.
