The four officers and supervisor involved in the custody of Michael Brown remain on administration leave as the investigation into his death continues, according to a statement by the Milford Police Union.
“The officers and supervisor involved are cooperating with the inspector general’s investigation and the internal investigation processes,” the police union said in the same statement.
Milford police released all bodycam footage of Brown’s arrest on Tuesday.
Brown died last Wednesday after an arrest in the parking lot of Big Y Supermarket on Boston Post Road. In the videos, Brown was seen struggling with officers. At one point, he complained of experiencing shortness of breath and leg pain.
Medics were called to the scene and administered Narcan to Brown, but he later died on the way to the hospital.
“All of the officers and supervisors involved in this case are hard-working professionals who took an oath to protect the people of Milford. While doing their duty, unfortunately, Mr. Brown passed away,” said Milford Police Union President Sean Owens.
Brown’s death is being investigated by the Office of the Inspector General.
Officials have not yet released a cause of death.
