A veteran from Wilton got a big surprise Sunday for his 95th birthday.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal stopped by to wish Army veteran David Evans well, and to thank him for his service.
He also gave him a special commendation from the U.S. Senate for his service in Africa during World War II.
Evans said it was an honor to receive the recognition on his 95th birthday.
