Bridgeport residents and road crews spent Friday digging out from under a blanket of snow.
City plows got to work at 4 a.m., and by late afternoon, the sun was helping melt leftover snow and ice.
Officials say that despite greater snowfall than expected, crews cleared the streets ahead of schedule.
There were about 17 minor accidents reported in the city, according to authorities.
They city says there was one report of fallen power lines, but nobody lost power.
