This week, Gabe Armantano, over at
RHK in Norwalk, shows Tina Redwine how to make a chocolate bacon milkshake.
INGREDIENTS: (with ice cream)
- 2 tbsp. crushed Oreos
- 4 oz. (or two big scoops) of vanilla ice cream
- 8-9 1x1 ice cubes
INGREDIENTS: (without ice cream)
- 2 tbsp. crushed Oreos
- 1.5 oz. simple syrup or 1 oz. cane sugar
- 1.5 oz. heavy cream
- ¾ oz. vanilla syrup
- 8-9 1x1 ice cubes
Additional ingredients:
Cookies and cream ice cream, homemade chocolate
bacon bark, crushed Oreos, fluffernutter, chocolate syrup, heated tempered
chocolate
INSTRUCTIONS:
Drizzle the chocolate syrup on a plate, and
on the inside of the rim of the mason jar. Apply fluffernutter to the rim
and press crushed Oreos into the rim.
Place the vanilla ice cream, Oreos and ice
cubes in a blender (or heavy cream, Oreos, syrup, sugar and ice if not
using ice cream) and mix until blended. Fill the glass 4/5 of the way
full of the ice cream, and then fill the glass with whipped cream.
Lay three pieces of the Chocolate Bacon Bark on top of
the whipped cream, and then place a large scoop of cookies and cream ice cream
on top of the bark. Apply heated tempered chocolate evenly over the scoop
of ice cream – this will harden as a shell on the scoop.
Hand crush a few Oreos and toss on top of the shake.
Drizzle chocolate syrup on everything.
