Chef's Quick Tip: Grilled Cheese

This week, Nikki Glekas of Nikki’s Modern Mediterranean, shows Tina Redwine how to make the perfect grilled cheese sandwich. 
Perfect Grilled Cheese
Makes 1 sandwich
2 slices white bread
4 ounces salted butter
2 slices American cheese
Heavily butter one side of each slice of bread
Place a skillet over medium heat and add the butter side of the bread face down, add the cheese, and close the sandwich so the top piece of bread has the butter side facing up.
Cook the grilled cheese until the bottom side is golden brown and the cheese is beginning to melt.
Use a spatula to flip the grilled cheese over and cook it until the second side of bread is toasted and the cheese is completely melted.
Transfer the grilled cheese to a plate, slice it and serve.
