This week, Chef Katie from Planet Pizza of Norwalk teaches Tina Redwine how to make unique summertime dishes and drinks.
Sun tea honey
INGREDIENTS:
4 lady grey tea bags
6 cups of water
2 tbsp honey
1/2 fresh squeezed lemon
3 oz honey whiskey
Several cubes of ice
1/2 lemon sliced
METHOD:
In a pitcher, add the tea bags and water, and let it steep in the sun for a few hours. When the tea is brewed, stir in honey, and the juice of half a lemon. To make the cocktail, add 3 cups of tea to a large mason jar, or cocktail shaker. Add 3 oz of honey-flavored whiskey and ice. Shake, and then pour over ice cubes in drinking glasses. Garnish with a slice of lemon. Makes 2 cocktails.
