This week, chef Gladys Luz of Zul Cafe and Grill shows Tina Redwine how to make halo-halo - a delicious tropical desert.
Ingredients:
  • Half cup of shaved ice
  • ¼ cup of evaporated milk
  • Sweetened boiled plantain bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of sweetened boiled garbanzos
  • 2 tablespoons of boiled black beans
  • 2 tablespoons of boiled brown beans
  • 1 tablespoon of kaong
  • 1 scoop of ube ice cream
  • 1 slice of leche flan
Directions:
Mix everything together in a tall glass. Add sugar if you like. Fill the glass with shaved ice up to the brim. Drizzle with milk. Add the flan and ice cream toppings.
