This week, chef Gladys Luz of Zul Cafe and Grill shows Tina Redwine how to make Pancit Bihon - a flavorful pasta from the Philippines.  
Ingredients:
  • 1 pack of dried rice noodles
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
  • Finely diced onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 cups of ground pork
  • 1 small head cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 4 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 lemons cut in wedges for garnish
  • 1 tablespoons of scallion
Directions:
Place the noodle in a large bowl, and cover with warm water. When soft and drained , set aside. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until soft. Stir in ground pork, cabbage, carrots and soy sauce. Cook until cabbage begins to soften. Toss in noodles, and cook until heated through and stir constantly. Transfer the pancit noodles to a serving  dish and garnish with scallion, ground pepper, dried garlic and lemon.
