Chinese restaurant in Norwalk reopens following major fire

A Chinese restaurant in Norwalk that had to close due to a fire is celebrating its re-opening by helping the community.
Village Gourmet on Chestnut Hill Road opened earlier this week, six weeks after a major fire.
The restaurant says it will donate all proceeds this weekend to the Norwalk Community College Foundation. The foundation raises money for student scholarships and helps expand access to affordable higher education
Family members of the owners say they are delighted the restaurant has reopened and that they’re able to support the community.
Village Gourmet is opened Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
