Residents in downtown Westport continue to clean up from Sandy.

Areas of the community experienced more than three feet of water to the area.According to the merchant's association, 90 percent of the local businesses were flooded out, and even with many of the stores now having power, the road to recovery will take some time.Some of the stores have reopened, but officials say that it could take more than three weeks to get back to normal.The merchant's association president says he is confident most of the stores will reopen by Thanksgiving.
