A plan is in the works for Norwalk Public Schools that would save jobs from the chopping block.
The city's Common Council unanimously approved the plan last night.
It includes taking additional funds from the budgets of the next two years.
The Board of Education had proposed cutting more than 60 teachers, administrators and staff positions to bridge a $7.7 million budget gap.
Officials say the new revision will not require raising taxes on Norwalk residents to close the budget gap.
