While prosecutors are still deciding if any charges will be filed in connection to the fatal Christmas Day fire in Stamford, the father of the three young girls lost in the blaze spoke out on national television for the first time this morning.
Matthew Badger appeared on 'Good Morning America' today.
He said he spent a week with the girls at his New York City apartment just before they died.
They were killed along with their grandparents in a fire at their mother's Shippan Point home.
Investigators say fireplace embers discarded by the mother's boyfriend, Michael Borcina, sparked the blaze.
Stamford police detectives say the state's attorney plans to make a decision regarding potential charges in the case in the coming weeks.
