A New York City woman walked away from Fairfield County Courthouse empty-handed Tuesday after losing a lawsuit against her 12-year-old nephew from Westport.
Jennifer Connell, 54, filed a lawsuit against her nephew, Sean Tarala, after she said she was injured when he jumped into her arms at a party in 2011. Connell said she suffered a broken wrist, claiming her injuries made it difficult to do routine things such as walking up the stairs to her apartment or holding food.
Connell was seeking $127,000 in the case.
Some jurors said they felt the case was just a matter of a young boy excited to see his aunt.
