Local residents are mourning the loss of one of the country's most famous broadcast journalists, Walter Cronkite.
Westport's first selectman Gordon Joseloff says he knew Cronkite personally and says he is sad he's lost a mentor and a friend.
"He certainly put you at ease, but he demanded quality from his people," says Joseloff, who used to write for Cronkite.
Cronkite died Friday at the age of 92.
