MTA: Man fatally struck by train near Noroton Heights station in Darien
A man was fatally struck by a train in Darien, MTA officials say.
The incident happened Thursday around 7:45 p.m. at the Noroton Heights train station.
The MTA says a eastbound train from Grand Central Station to New Haven struck a person who was on the tracks.
A woman who was teaching a class nearby says she could hear the train's horn for a long time before the impact.
Passengers were moved to another train after the incident.
The New Haven line experienced delays for hours following the incident.
Officials have not identified the person who was struck but say it was a 50-year-old man.
