Police said a portion of Route 59 in Easton was closed Monday morning following a serious crash.
Investigators said a pickup truck was heading north on Route 59 when it hit a deer.
Officials said the deer went airborne, falling on an SUV going southbound, shattering the windshield and going through the passenger side, exiting out the back window.
Police say when they showed up to the scene the SUV was resting upright against a utility pole.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
