Police say a Shelton man used listings in newspapers to target women with a series of threatening and sexually harassing phone calls.According to police, 56-year-old Charles Dubord made the calls to families of females between the ages of 8 and 30 years old. Police say he made all of the calls using pay phones.Investigators say Dubord, who runs a karaoke business, found his victims in newspaper announcements for events such as engagements and weddings. Dubord would then make the calls, threatening to either harm the females or commit sexual acts to them, police say.Dubord was charged with two counts of harassment for one case in Milford. Bail was set at $75,000.Officials say investigations are under way in other towns such as Fairfield and Shelton for similar incidents.Police are asking anyone who may have information on the case to call 203-878-6551.
