STORM WATCH

Storm bringing up to 10 inches of snow to parts of Connecticut

New Canaan police are warning the public about a phone scam.
They say the scammers claim they are from Eversource Energy and demand immediate payment for a fictitious overdue bill.
The callers threaten to shut off service unless they are paid using a prepaid cash card.
Eversource says it never demands instant payment over the phone, and says anyone who receives a call like this should contact police.
