The reservations you book through Open Table provides insight on the dining trends of New York.
"We saw a nice uptick in restaurant reservations in October in New York a lot of that might have something to do with the fact that we had some big teams in the playoffs, The Mets, Yankees, and The Liberty going all the way, 4 % growth year over year in restaurant reservations, coming off a little bit September which was up 7%, but we had some summer days in September and flattish for the summer itself, but a nice uptick lately," says Caleb Silver, editor-in-chief at Investopedia.
It is good news for restaurants, but News 12 is working to help you get some money off dining out.
We have told you about Seated, an app that pays people who dine out.
News 12's Kristie Reeter tested it out, and so far has cashed in over $300 in rewards. You sign up for free, then make a reservation or find a restaurant participating on the app. It will show you what percentage you will get back at that restaurant.
You upload your receipt and cash in your rewards for gift cards.
