With phase 3 postponed indefinitely, social club owners are wondering if they will ever be able to reopen their doors.

The VFW Hall in Stratford had to cancel all events and return deposits.

The quartermaster says the organization began renovations in the spring, not knowing there would be no income coming in for months.

Volunteers have been doing the work, but as funds run out, they are hoping the community will donate to help get them through the rough patch.

Since the VFW is a nonprofit, it does not qualify for aid to business, and since it is classified as a bar and not a restaurant, outside dining is not an option.
