The state released its weekly update Thursday of cases of coronavirus in nursing homes.
Last week, 1,200 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 6,000.
There were 350 new deaths last week, bringing that number to 1,600.
Among the local homes hit the hardest were Golden Hill and Milford Health and Rehab with a combined 155 cases and 42 fatalities.
The Lord Chamberlain Center in Stratford had 58 cases and 29 deaths.
In Torrington, the 160-bed Litchfield Woods had 126 confirmed cases.
