The Stratford Board of Education voted to place the district’s superintendent, Dr. Uyi Osunde., on paid administrative leave effective immediately.
This comes after a special meeting was held on Thursday night to discuss Osunde’s arrest.
Police arrived at Osunde's residence for a domestic dispute at his home on Nov. 25, according to a New Haven police report.
Osunde was charged with breach of peace.
Board of Education Chairperson Michael Henrick said, "Our first and only concern was our students and to make sure our staff felt comfortable in their work environment."
